There are 4 ways you can reset paytm password
1. To change your paytm login password by calling paytm customer care number.
2. To change paytm password via otp.
3. To reset your paytm password by without calling paytm customer care number.
4. To reset your paytm password with email (Note : This feature had been removed with paytm update).
In order to reset the password of your Paytm account, So we will discuss here only 1 , 2 and 3 way.
- To reset paytm password by calling paytm customer care.
Step 1: First you have to call on 0120-4888-488 or 0120-4456-456 (troll free) with your paytm registered mobile number.
Step 2: Now Select your Language.
Step 3: Now press 1
Step 4: Your Call will be disconnected & you will receive an reset password link on your paytm registered mobile number as well as email id attached with your paytm account. (This link will be expire in 10 minutes to protect your privacy).
Step 5: Your password should consist of
- Minimum 5 characters.
- At least 1 number.
- At least 1 alphabet.
If the link expires, we suggest you follow the above mentioned steps again to receive a new password reset link.
- To change Paytm Password via otp
Step 1 : First Open your paytm app.
Step 2 : Now tap on login your account.
Step 3 : Now add your Paytm Registered phone number.
Step 4 : Tap on forgot your password.
Step 5 : You will ask for an Otp. Enter your Otp and you will be redirected to change the password.
- To reset paytm password without calling paytm customer care.
(Note - This process had been removed by paytm with the new update).
Step 1 : Open your paytm app and click on top 3 lines or photo icon.
Step 2 : Click on Login.
Step 3 : Enter your paytm registered mobile number & proceed securely.
Step 4 : Now click on Having Login Issues or forgot paytm password.
Step 5 : Now tap on message us.
Step 6 : Type your message & your paytm registered mobile number then tap to send.
Step 7 : In 5 to 6 hours you will receive an reset password link on your paytm registered mobile number (The link will expire in 10 minutes to protect your privacy).
Step 8: You can reset your password by clicking on that link.
No one from Paytm will ever call you and ask you to change your password. Never share your card number, CVV, PIN, OTP or password with anyone, even if the caller claims to be a Paytm employee. Using these details anyone can take away all your money from your Paytm account.
